Buriram United Vs Ratchaburi

2019 Thai League Week 24: Buriram United Vs Ratchaburi Mitr Phol

League leaders Buriram United brushed aside mid-table club Ratchaburi Mitr Phol FC 6-0 at the Chang Arena.

It was Ratchaburi Mitr Phol FC who nearly took the lead in the first minute when a flick over the Buriam defence fell to Yannick Boli in the box. Boli let his shot go which was well saved by Siwarak Tedsungnoen before being cleared off the line by Andrés Túñez.

However this did not effect Buriram United as they were able to take the lead in the 25th minute. Philippines international Kevin Ingreso showed great vision and technique to dink the ball over the Ratchaburi defence into the path of Suphanat Mueanta who calmly sides foot the ball past Kittipong Phuthawchueak in goal. Replays show that defender Sila Srikampang was extremely slow to step forward allowing Suphanat Mueant to remain onside and score the goal.

Buriram United doubled their lead just before half time with the help of another dink over the Ratchaburi defence. This time it was Andrés Túñez who played the ball into the path of Supachok Sarachat who cut in to shoot. Unfortunately his effort was deflected wide by the hand of Ekkaluck Thonghkit which resulted in a penalty and a yellow card. Andrés Túñez was able to covert from the spot as per usual.

Buriram United came out in the second half ready for more and scored another in the 52nd minute. As the ball was played into the box by Sasalak Haiprakhon, defender Ekkaluck Thonghkit once again makes a mistake by making a very odd clearance. Ekkaluck was unable to get any meaningful contact on the ball which simply fell inside the box. Three Ratchaburi defenders surrounded the ball but seemed to allow Ratthanakorn Maikami to freely shoot unchallenged. Ratthanakorn scored with a nice finish into the top corner, however the defending was very bizarre.

In the 55th minute Buriram got their fourth. As they broke away Suphanat Mueanta played the ball into Supachok Sarachat who curled in a long range effort into the top corner. The fact that Supachok hardly even celebrated his goal of the season contender just shows how much confidence this current Thai forward is playing with.

In the 92nd minute of the game Buriram United scored another goal. Full back Narubadin Weerawatnodom receives the ball on the edge of the box and fires a rocket shot into the top corner.  Where Supachok’s effort was about curl and precision, Narubadin’s was just pure power.

Just when fans thought that there was not enough time for another goal, Buriram popped up with a surprise. Swedish forward Rasmus Jönsson ran at the defence and poked the ball through Nacer Barazite who then turned and calmly finished for the 6th goal of the game.

All in all Buriram United had way to much class for Ratchaburi Mitr Phol. Their movement and speed terrorised the Ratchaburi defence who were keen to play a high-line and try to play the offside trap. However they got their tactics all wrong which Buriram United were able to capitalise on.
