Midweek Buriram United announced the signing of Swedish international Rasmus Jönsson from Helsingborgs IF.
The29 year old had scored 7 goals in 16 appearances for Helsingborgs IF in the Swedish league. Prior to this Rasmus Jönsson had spent 4 seasons in the Danish Superliga player for both Aalborg Boldspilklub and Odense Boldklub where he accumulated more than 100 appearances.
The two cap international will likely to be the club’s leading frontman moving forward with the departure of Brazilian striker Pedro Júnior and Javier Patiño’s loan to Ratchaburi Mitr Phol FC. It will be interesting to see how well Rasmus Jönsson can play with Buriram’s exciting young strikers and whether he will last longer than the other high profile players that have joined from Europe in the past.
