Chainat Hornbill have signed Philippines international midfielder Adam Reed ahead of the 2019 Thai League season.
This comes after Adam Reed’s previous club Davao Aguilas FC unexpectedly withdrew from the Philippines Football League after the 2018 season. This led the Hartlepool born midfielder without a club which has lead him to sign for Chainat Hornbill.
Reed had come through the ranks at Sunderland FC, however he never managed to make the first team. He went on to play for a number of clubs in the lower tiers of English football that included Burton Albion, York City, and Darlington FC before moving to Asia in 2016.
Adam Reed tried his luck playing in the Philippines where he gained recognition and received call ups for the national team. During his three year period in the Philippines, Reed played for Stallion Laguna, Kaya F.C.–Iloilo and most recently Davao Aguilas.
The move to Chainat comes shortly after the club signed Thai/German striker Dennis Buschening. Chainat Hornbill have been very busy this transfer window as along with the Buschening signing, the club have also signed fellow Philippines international Marco Casambre, Brazilian Ricardo Santos, and Spaniard Gorka Unda amongst others.
