Diogo Leaves Buriram

Brazilian striker Diogo Luís Santo has left Buriram United FC to join Malaysian champions Johor Darul Ta’zim FC for the upcoming season.

The 2018 Thai League 1 top scorer with 34 goals, has been an instrumental part of the Buriram staring eleven since moving to the club in 2015 from Brazilian side Palmeiras. Since then he has prospered scoring 101 goals in 105 appearances helping the club to 3 league titles. The prolific striker has been the league’s top scorer twice in 2015 and 2018.

Arguably the best import player in Thai League history, the departure will leave a massive hole in the Buriram attack for the upcoming season. If the club is to retain its league crown then more goals will be required from remaining stickers Javier Patiño and Osvaldo.
