With both sides hovering just above the relegation zone, this was a very important game for PT Prachuap FC and Chonburi FC. However, it would be the visitors with their large array of signings that would take home all three points with a 2-o win.
The first half had very few chances for both sides, with PT Prachuap having slightly the better of it as they created a few half chances through Phuritad Jarikanon and Maurinho.
Chonburi FC came out alot brighter in the second half and created a good chance in the 6th minute, when Teeratep Winothai and Worachit Kanitsribampen combined nicely with a one-two to set up Teeratep who floated his effort high and wide.
However, it was a sign of things to come as a few minutes later, Worachit Kanitsribampen turn in a low cross from right back Thanaset Sujarit to give Chonburi FC the lead.
Thanaset Sujarit was at it again in the 75th minute, this time delivering an inviting ball into the box where new Filipino striker Ángel Guirado was able to jump highest beating Adnan Orahovac to the ball to head in a goal.
In what was a reasonably uneventful game, Chonburi’s new signings were able to mesh together and get an important win with fellow league strugglers PT Prachuap.
