This week Samut Prakan City FC visited PT Prachuap FC hoping that their strong season will continue. While PT Prachuap are sat reasonably comfortably in mid-table, seven points above the relegation zone.
Samut Prakan City FC started brightly creating a number of chances. In the 26th minute, Brazilian forward Ibson Melo beat his man on the left then passed the ball to Chayawat Srinawong. However Chayawat did not get enough contact on the ball and it was easily saved by Kwanchai Suklom.
Just before half time some poor defending from Samut Prakan City FC gifted PT Prachuap a penaty. All long ball was played forward to Kwanchai Suklom which put the forward through in on goal. However a rash challenge from Jakkapan Praisuwan took out Kwanchai earning a penalty. Maurinho cooly converted from the spot kick sending the keeper the wrong way.
Samut Prakan City FC continued to press and create a couple of chances through Chayawat Srinawong. However, the forward was unable to make those chances count.
PT Prachuap soon doubled the lead and sealed all three points. French forward Jean-Philippe Mendy broke free down the right before crossing the ball for Siroch Chatthong to convert. The Thai international seemed ecstatic to score after a barren run in front of goal.
Jakkapan Praisuwan went close to scoring a couple more times from free kicks before the end of the game as he tried to make amends from his earlier mistake. Nonetheless the Samut Prakan City attack were unable to breakdown the Prachuap defence.
