2019 Thai League Week 3: Bangkok Beat Trat FC To Continue Strong Start To Season

Bangkok United have narrowly beaten newly promoted side Trat FC 1-0 to continue their strong start to the season.

Visitors Bangkok United dominated the game from the get-go and created many good chances. In the 9th minute, forward Teeratep Winothai provided a good cross to Pokklaw Anan who put his effort wide, while later on in the half Nelson Bonilla put through Pokklaw Anan once again. The Thai international dwindled on the ball too long as Trat FC goalkeeper Suppawat Srinothai smothered the ball.

It was looking like Bangkok United were going to regret their missed chances. However, in the second half, Bangkok United came out with a more potent attack. Striker Nelson Bonilla had a few opportunities that required good saves from keeper Suppawat Srinothai.

It was to be Nelson Bonilla who would finally break the deadlock. Teeratep Winothai who was pulling the strings throughout the game played a nice through ball to Nelson Bonilla who was able to shoot while on the turn. Suppawat Srinothai was able to get a hand on the ball but was unable to keep the effort out.

The goal would be the only of the game, giving Bangkok United the win and tieing the club at the top of the league along with Port FC.
