Thai League challengers Port FC have made a statement of intent with the double signing of Tanaboon Kesarat and Piyachanok Darit from Thai League 2 side BG Pathum United FC.
Thai international Tanaboon Kesarat could prove to be a marque signing as he is one of the most recognisable Thai players around. Comfortable playing in either defensive midfield and centre back, Tanaboon adds versatility as well as a increased level composure and tactical awareness to the spine of the team. Tanaboon Kesarat currently holds the record for the most expensive player in Thai League history having moved to Chiangrai United from Muangthong United for 50 million baht in 2017.
While centre back Piyachanok Darit has also joined as part of the deal. The 26 year old came through the Bangkok Glass academy and has made 89 appearances for the first team. Piyachanok Darit will add extra cover to Port FC’s centre backs and will be looking to displace either David Rochela and Elias Dolah.
