Trat FC have boosted their defensive options by bringing in Philippine international Amani Aguinaldo for the upcoming season.
Amani Aguinaldo joins from parent club Ceres–Negros FC, however the 24 year old spent last season on loan at Malaysian side Perak FA helping the club finish 5th in the Super League.
A regular in the Philippines national team with 38 caps to his name, Aguinaldo had shone in the 30th Southeast Asian Games last month playing alongside Stephan Schrock as the two overaged players. However Aguinaldo was unable to lead the Philippines out of the group stages, losing out to Cambodia on goal difference.
Amani Aguinaldo had spent time on trail at Korean side Incheon United FC with the aim of earning a contract and filling the new ASEAN player spot allowed for all teams in the K-League. However this proved to be unsuccessful leading to Amani Aguinaldo moving to Trat FC for the season.
